The election of Chief marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing journey of our Nation — a time to reflect on our shared values, honour our traditions, and look ahead to the future we are building together. As a community grounded in respect, unity, and self-determination, we need to come together to select a leader who will carry forward the voices of our Elders, the hopes of our youth, and the strength of our people. 

We need a leader who will help us move past the Indian Act and uphold our Treaty promises in Court. We need a leader who understands the law and governance and is someone the people can trust.
