Council Accomplishments
I am honoured to have served, for two terms, as Councillor for Siksika Nation where I worked to strengthen our community while upholding ancestral values.
I have experience in many areas of key focus including:
- Health
- Old Sun Community College
- Siksika Off-Reserve Affordable Housing
- Siksika Group of Companies
- Children and Family Services
I was part of the final negotiation team that settled the historic 1910 Land Claim—one of the largest and oldest land theft settlements in Canada.
I am currently the Chair of the Legal Task Force.
Member of the Additions to Reserve team.
As a member of the Public Safety Task Forces, I helped in the creation of:
- Peace Officer Program
- Police Commission
- Established one of Canada’s first First Nation Prosecutor’s Offices
Protecting Nation identity by trademarking “Siksika Nation” and its Coat of Arms was an important accomplishment.
I supported the implementation of Bill C-92, leading to the first draft of Siksika’s own Children’s Law.
