Nation Building

Some of the biggest challenges facing Siksika require leadership grounded in law and governance. Canada has stated its intention to move away from the Indian Act — meaning it will no longer serve as the framework for long-term Indigenous–Crown relations.
We must be careful and strategic as we navigate this transition, especially in a time of political uncertainty.
We need more than our Treaties.
We need a Siksika Constitution — one that defines who we are as a Nation.
As Chief, I will make the creation of our own Constitution a priority. Across the country, Indigenous communities are advancing self-determination in powerful ways. Siksika must be a leader in this movement — crafting a Constitution that reflects our culture, values, and the collective voice and power of our people.
